NovelNet NMS automates network workflows for satellite services SLA assurance and DBA (Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation) applications. NovelNetNMS, a major enhancement to the NovelSat offering, is a scalable platform that can be used to dynamically provision, manage and maintain services in satellite and mixed satellite-terrestrial communication networks.

Dynamic Terrestrial Link Restoration – When NovelNet NMS is used to monitor and manage a mixed terrestrial and satellite network, an alert can instruct the system to dynamically allocate satellite bandwidth to backup terrestrial links that fail for whatever reason, be it power failure, equipment breakdown or cable cuts. The restoration bandwidth is managed as part of a pool for backup protection links.
Dynamic Resource Allocation – Designed for occasional satellite users and other contention based fully automated remote satellite service applications, where satellite bandwidth is allocated in real-time. NovelNet NMS can receive a request from a remote unit and automatically allocate available bandwidth that is returned to the bandwidth pool once the transmission requirement has ended.
Bandwidth Optimization and Prioritization – Rather than allocating precious satellite bandwidth for full-time access, the platform can dynamically allocate satellite bandwidth to specific applications and customers so that service providers can meet their SLA requirements with the lowest possible bandwidth costs.
